The People of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Have Spoken at the County Mass Conventions

March 17, 2008

The County Mass Conventions were held on March 15, 2008. This is the culmination of the Precinct Conventions previously held where delegates of the County Mass were elected. The County Mass elects the delegates to represent the Counties in the State Convention. This is an important part of the Political Process in that the People make their needs and wants known to the Representatives who will listen to them. As I represent Kentucky, I am watching these proceedings with great anticipation.  The next step in the Convention Process is the State Convention where the Resolutions and Delegates will be affirmed or denied.

Kentucky's Positions are truely as follows:

LANDSLIDE VICTORY FOR RON PAUL IN MISSOURI

Today in Saint Charles County Missouri, the largest Republican County caucus in the state 111 of a possible 137 Delegates were elected for Ron Paul. The St. Charles Caucus was a landslide turnout for Ron Paul. The Republican Platform was amended to oppose the Patriot Act, The Iraq war, the Federal Reserve, Fiat Currency, the Global American Empire, the income Tax, Estate Tax, McCain Fiengold, the National ID Card, The Real ID Act of 2005 and much much more.

In Kentucky the Ron Paul Republicans passed several resolutions.

The Republican Party of Jefferson County Strictly Opposes Any Action By Washington DC to Infringe Upon the Rights Of The Citizens of Kentucky To Bear Arms.
The Kentucky Republican Party Strongly Opposes the NAU, NAFTA, WTO, SPP, and Any Other Organization or Entity That Threatens of Sovereignty Of These United States.
The Kentucky Republican Party Passes The Resolution That We Represent A State Wants A Small Constitutional Government. And Declare Such Governmental Organizations A Threat To Our State's Sovereignty, Such as The Dept Of Education, The Department Of Agriculture, FEMA, Etc.

Finally when it came to pass the Resolution Against The Illegal and Unconstitutional War the entire Republican party had a huge outcry. The entire party was split down the middle and there was much fighting over this issue. We failed to pass this resolution by a small amount of votes. The good news is the republican party is waking up! It wasn't easy for country club republicans to slide this one past us this year.
