Social Security Garnishes US Senate Candidate's Wages
Daniel Essek Reports Wages Garnished by Social Security
Dateline:  Williamsburg, KY
Daniel Essek, a Candidate for United States Senate, challenger to Mr. Mitch McConnell, incumbant US Senator, and Minority Leader, has reported to us, his wages are being garnished by the Social Security Administration for an alleged debt owed.  Mr. Essek states this action was taken with no notice nor due process of law.
"This is unacceptable on any level," Mr. Essek said, "The United States Constitution, the Law of the Land, is supposed to protect us, as citizens, from just this type of Civil Rights Abuse."
Mr. Essek reported to us today, on February 18, 2008 he was able to go home, and stopped by the Post Office and picked up his mail.  What he recieved in his box were bills, payroll settlements, and other mail.  He then went on to his doctors' appointment and campaigning activities.
The next day, Mr. Essek returned to his work as a truck driver.  After working for the day, Mr. Essek began reading his mail.  He was astonished to find a garnishment being taken out from his compensation.  The next morning, he telephoned his Dispatcher, Phil Rushenburg and was informed he would be out of the office for two weeks for his National Guard Annual Training Session.
The matter was then referred to Brad Heisterkamp, Operations Manager of CRST Premier Transport, Inc.  Mr. Heisterkamp then contacted Payroll on behalf of Mr. Essek and then reported to Mr. Essek the garnishment was by Court Order and the originator was the Social Security Administration.
Mr. Essek has not given any indication as to whether or not he will file suit against the Government, but he has expressed an interest in consulting with an attorney about the matter.  He is saddened about this turn of events and states, "At best, this will cost me a lot of time and money to deal with this matter.  I would rather be using the time and money involved in dealing with this matter meeting new Kentuckians and Campaigning."
"This is a sad day for the Commonwealth," Mr. Essek states, "When a Candidate for Office goes on the Campaign Trail and the Government has to steal the money which is meant for that Campaign."  Mr. Essek states he has committed every available penny he has to the campaign already, and he has not, as of yet, recieved any contributions from the public.  Mr. Essek also states he has personally canvassed less than 5% of the Commonwealth.
Mr. Essek was questioned about his allegation and the legality of the alleged garnishment, and he states, "The Right to Due Process of Law is contained in nearly half of the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution of the United States.  The Declaration of Independance declares our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but it is the United States Constitution which codefies those rights.  The rights of due process is contained in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Amendments.  The timing of this action is very suspicious I am investigating the possibility that it may actually be an attempt to silence me and my campaign which would be a violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution."
"It could be argued, perhaps my Campaign may be getting more traction than I am aware of."  Mr. Essek continues, "While I am out campaigning, it seems I am preaching to the choir.  Out of all the Kentuckians I have met in my campaign, I only have met 2 people who have told me they will support Mr. McConnell.  The first one was a lawyer in Williamsburg, and the second was a union worker in Frankfort.  I believe the one in Frankfort has had something to think about, because he was receptive to my words of Freedom and Liberty.  The lawyer in Williamsburg, I am not so sure of."
When asked if he thought Mr. McConnell had anything to do with this issue, he stated he had no evidence to that effect.  "Whether Mr. McConnell had anything to do with this or not is beside the point.  What the issue is, is whether or not the Government has the right to Seize Property without going to Court."  Mr. Essek continues, "The 4th Amendment to the Consitiution of the United States guarantees the right of all Citizens, to not be deprived of any property without the due process of law.  Money earned as a result of one's own labor is property."

My Take on Super Tuesday

Williamsburg, KY, February 13, 2008     Once Super Tuesday was complete, I went to bed.  When I woke up, I was wondering if I were still dreaming.  Maybe it's a nightmare.  My fears do seem to be coming true regarding the Primary Election.  My only hope is to win the Primary against Mitch McConnell or the Union may very well be lost.
John McCain is Proclaiming Victory for Super Tuesday and immediately started attacking Mitt Romney in anticipation of the next Primary Election.  Not so fast, John, but you have not yet won the nomination.  There are still many States to be heard from.  I have been listening to the news all day, and also my routine talk-show commentators, John Quinn, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity, all of whom I find credible sources of information, entertaining, and sources of differing opinions.
Now that the evening is here, I think I have it figured out.  As I recall, the other day,  Mr. Huckabee announced he was withdrawing from the process and that is what had me somewhat confused.  The only explanation why Mr. McCain is so friendly to Mr. Huckabee is for him to remain in the fight for the nomination, not for himself, but for Mr. McCain.  Mr. Huckabee, Mr. Governor of Arkansas, either you are going to be in the process or out.  It is not fair you remain on the ballot if you are not going to make a reasonable effort to win.  You must not jump in and out as your whims or your buddy, John McCain desires.
The last few days, I noticed John McCain bashing Mitt Romney to no end.  He even accused Mr. Romney of being the kind of representative in which John McCain has proven to be.  "I voted for it before I voted against it," has been John McCain's excuse and plea to the people in every election he participates in.  He is the prime example of the kind of mercenary which we do not need to be President of the United States.  He has already, previously, shown me what a liar he is and I do not believe anything he says about how conservative he is.  His record is clear.  He is a Liberal who worships the almighty dollar, and he works for whoever has the most money he can line his pockets with.  No, I am not accusing Mr. McCain of bribary, just of keeping his options to profit open to the highest bidder.
On the other hand, we have Mitt Romney.  He is a Presidential Candidate who seemed to come out of the woodwork.  Now, I must confess I do not know much about him, but I have heard, he is a Federalist, or one who believes the Power rests in the Government.  This is not one who I want to represent me to the World either.  I am currently researching his record to get the facts on him.
Now, the easy research project was Dr. Ron Paul.  His words ring of such honesty that I do take him at his word.  His record in Congress equals every claim I have known him to make.  He believes in America, and the power of the People.  This man does believe in supply side economics.  He believes in securing the border.  He believes this Nation should be out of debt.  He says what he believes, and he believes what he says.  I was so happy there was one Candidate who is honest and forthright to the People.  It is such a breath of fresh air.  I do wish he had done better on Super Tuesday, but now he has an uphill battle to win the Nomination.  Although we do differ on our opinions about the handling of Iraq, these differences are not insurmountable, and I still wholeheartedly support Dr. Paul's bid for the Presidency.  We need our borders secured.  We need the Mexican Trucks Stopped.  We need illegal immigration stopped.  The terrorists are here already, and they have a supply line.  We need someone with courage to Keep America Safe.  We need someone who will give the Union and the Commonwealth of Kentucky Liberty and Freedom.  We both believe in Limited Government and we see the need to end Deficit Spending.
If John McCain becomes President, May God help us, he will tax and spend us into slavery and bondage.  If Mr. Romney becomes President, We, the People may become the subjects of some Worldwide Kingdom.  I hope I am wrong on both counts, but with the information I have now, I do state this prophecy with some confidence.
I want a President, not a King.  I want Being an American Citizen to mean something.  I am tired of seeing Illegal Aliens, Mexicans, and Terrorists being treated better by the Government than the Citizen.  I am tired of being called a racist when I am being Patriotic.  I thank God that I live in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where Sovereignty is known to be OF GOD, Given to the People, and the People give it to their Representatives in order that they be Represented in the Affairs of State.  We, as Kentuckians, must become United in a common cause.  Our State Motto, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall" are words which are just as true today as when they were adopted.
Today is Ronald Reagan's Birthday, and to this end I would like to say "Happy Birthday, Mr. President.  May you rest in peace while we fight to bring your dream into existence."  We need to Return to "Reaganomics," because if we don't, Our Sovereignty as a People shall surely be lost to the Government. We need to honor the memories of John Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington for the Union to survive.
Vote Ron Paul for President, Daniel Essek for US Senator From Kentucky!
Sincerely,
Daniel Essek
Candidate

Candidate for US Senate Message  Being Well Recieved
Mr. Daniel Essek, Candidate for United States Senate in the Republican Primary against Mr. Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader reports his message is being well recieved.
"I have spoken to many people throughout Kentucky, and I found a love of Kentucky and America which is greater than I have seen anywhere else."  Mr. Essek said, "Generally, I have found Kentuckians to be a people of honor, fairly well informed and desirous of preserving their liberty.  Should I win the election and become US Senator, I shall joyfully represent the People of Kentucky."
Mr. Essek has reported there is a minority of people who do support Mr. McConnell, mostly lawyers, but he states, "The message of freedom and liberty resounds so loudly among the People, the sound of it is almost deafening."
Mr. Essek also criticizes Mr. McConnell for his handling of the issue with Heather Ryan and promises that he would never treat a constituant like she was treated.

Dear Daniel,
My Campaign seems to be ramping up.  The recent interviews by the Times Tribune and on the Dave Nemo Show have been well recieved.  The contents of this e-mail contains information which is authorised for the formulation of articles and statements made by authority of the Candidate, Daniel Essek, and herein is released for publication immediately.
Daniel Essek's Campaign Ramping Up
Daniel Essek, Candidate
With Super Tuesday on the horison, Mr. Essek declares his campaign is attempting to step up the pressure on Mr. Mitch McConnell for the Republican Primary on May 20, 2008.  Mr. Essek expects his campaign personnel to increase to maximize the efforts of the Candidate.
Mr. Essek is hopeful his Committee's Treasury will grow in the coming days so he can take a leave of absense from his job as a Truck Driver and take on the job of Campaigning, Full Time.  Mr. Essek has issued a statement regarding the Stimulus Package now before the Senate for debate.
Mr. Essek says, "This stimulus package, which President Bush has proposed, and the House passed in record time, shall do very little in the way of stimulating the economy.  I am dismayed the hard work of tax paying Kentuckians will be going to benefit illegal aliens."  Mr. Essek has informed us the stimulus package funds, as proposed, has no requirement the workers getting the rebate to be Citizens of the United States.
"This is just more welfare money from Mitch McConnell and President Bush given to some of the people of Kentucky in order to buy more of our liberty."  Mr. Essek continues.  "The People need to make a big statement regarding this money by paying off debt, saving the money, or donating it to their favorite candidate for office."
The American Stock Market did not take as big a hit as the European Markets because of the reduction of the prime interest rate by the Federal Reserve.
Full editorial privelege is given to the media with all contents herein released for publication.  For Immediate Release
Sincerely,

Daniel Essek
Candidate for US Senate

The Danger We Face
Are Our Freedoms for Sale?
Daniel Essek, Candidate

I Need Your Help
This Campaign is still in dire straits financially.  I am doing the best I can with our hand to mouth budget, but the donations are lacking.  I need people to get the message that if they want their freedom and liberty sold for a measely $10 million, then they will get the kind of Government they deserve.  I don't want that kind of Government.  I don't want Kentuckians to become Slaves to the State.  I want to increase liberty and justice.  I want to repeal Unconstitutional and Extraconstitutional Laws.
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.  We must all Unite for the Cause of Freedom.  We must not let Mitch McConnell use Class Envy or other Divisive Tactics to Divide Kentucky.  If he succeeds, We Fail.  I don't want to fail.  I will not give up.
To be able to leave my job and campaign full time today, I need $35,000 in my war chest.  To be able to in March I need I need $30,000.  In April I will need $25,000 and to campaign full time in May, I need $10,000.  What is the price for Liberty?  I need help in raising funds.  I need donations in today.  No donation is too small.
If we can get the message out to 35,000 people and they each donate $1, I can go full time tomorrow.

Dear Daniel,
My campaign is beginning to ramp up.  My impromptu campaigning is reaching the choir of voices which agree with mine.  My message of Freedom and Liberty resonates so loudly with Kentuckians, the sound is deafening.
I am meeting with Small Business Owners and Citizens of Kentucky.  While a small minority support Mitch McConnell, even those people seem to be swayed when we find out many things they do not agree with him on.
So far, I have done a couple of impromtu speeches at the State Capitol and in Williamsburg at the Courthouse.  Although the crowds were very small, they seemed to be supportive.
Pledge FlagUnion is Still in Danger
Our Blessed Union is still in danger from the Powers that Be in that President Bush and Mitch McConnell have again teamed up to Buy Off the American People.
The stimulus package which has passed the House and is going to the Senate contains provisions which will extend the rebate benefits to Illegal Aliens.  This is unacceptable on any level.  The Stimulus Package only provides $600 to the workers and another $300 per child.  Depending on the earmarks which are added by the Senate, this $600 may cost us more of our Liberty.  Amnesty for Illegal Aliens and Terrorists is still on the table, and they can sneak it through as an earmark, and we would not know anything about it.
 KY Flag
Mitch is Trying to Buy Off Kentuckians
Mitch McConnell thinks he can buy the Liberty of Kentuckians with his $10 million dollars and the passage of the Stimulus Package which he is expected to vote for.
We need to make phone calls, and get out among the People of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and explain to them how Mr. McConnell wants to take away our guns, and give them to the criminals who don't care about the law, and take our liberty in some sort of power grab from Big Business, Big Money, and Big People.
We need to show Mr. McConnell that Kentucky is made up of all of us "Little People," and we will not tolerate his elitist ways any longer.

Good News
There is some good news.  Soon, I hope, we will be adding Pay Pal to the Website.  As soon as I get back home (I am on the road right now) I will be opening a new bank account at the Williamsburg Bank.  Once that account is opened, I will finalize the Pay Pal Program.  Depending on the agreement with the bank, I might put their address on my website so people can contribute directly to the bank for deposit.  In the meanwhile, please send all checks, without process, to the PO Box in Jellico, TN.  I need the information contained on the checks for my FEC Disclosures paperwork.
When collecting checks, please include the name and address of the donor, as this is used to match you as the collector with the donor and to verify there is no "Conduit Donations."
I will accept only Personal Checks, Money Orders, and Cashier's Checks with the donor's information printed only.  I cannot accept funds from corporations, unless it is from a segregated PAC fund.  This can be recognised by the PAC preprinted on the check.  Do not accept any check from a corporate entity unless it has PAC by the name.
Before depositing any check, Donna and I will be checking the checks validity before the FEC laws.  If you are in doubt about anything, send the check in with your concerns stated clearly.  We will make the determination if the contribution is legal or not.  We will return all illegal donations with the checks uncashed.
Before soliciting funds, be sure to send me an e-mail so I can add your e-mail to our Contact Page.  The donor may want to check and make sure you are legitimately soliciting the donations.  If you are not there, be sure to let me know.
I also need help on the phone.  Call your friends and neighbors, and anyone else you know.  Let them know I am out here, campaigning and ask for their support.  I cannot stress the importance enough about the Word of Mouth advertising value.
Thank you for your support

Declaration of Candidacy
Daniel Essek Files Papers in Frankfort

Frankfort, KY
On this snowy day in Frankfort, Kentucky,  Daniel Essek braves the weather, snow and ice to climb the steps of the Capitol Building today.  With little fanfare, he has filed his papers, making official his bid to become United States Senator from Kentucky, in the Republican Primary on May 20, 2008, against Mr. Mitch McConnell.
Daniel Essek, CandidateMr. Essek declares his platform to be Fiscal Responsibility, Security for the Nation, and the Preservation of the Union.  He directs us to his website at http://www.essek4senate.org where he has drafted a copy of his "Contract With Kentucky."
He believes we, as a People, are in danger of losing our freedom.  He has stated publicly, "We are in for some hard times, but Americans, especially Kentuckians, have a bad habit of uniting and rising to the occasion..

Daniel Essek, Candidate for United States Senate

Mr. Essek believes in the Power of the People, the Bill of Rights, and loves Kentucky.  He has been seeing the Freedom of the People being chipped away, little by little, over the recent years.  He has a plan for Securing the Border, Fighting International Terrorism, and Keeping Safety and Security for the Union.
Mr. Essek has also seen the dangers that Diversion of Federal Funds poses.  The Social Security Accounts have been raided, replaced with Government Bonds, and 30% of the Federal Highway Trust Funds have been diverted to other uses, such as, Public Parks, Walking Trails and Mass Transit.
Mr. Essek believes the Citizenry deserves some tax relief.. He proposes making the tax cuts currently in place to become permanant.  He also acknowleges the real need for Tax Reform and promises to make that one of his priorities.
Mr. Essek has also seen the recent phenomina of Industry leaving the Union and relocating offshore.  Mr. Essek promises to address the problems and motivations of Industry in an effort to bring them home.  He insists our Military Equipment must be made Domestically.
Mr. Essek also is in favor of alternate fuels, making America more energy independant, and reducing the amount of Foreign Oil.  Although he does not believe Global Warming/Climate Change is a problem, he is in favor of reducing the amount of pollution generated by Carbon Based Fuels.  He is against any form of Foreign Intrusion into the United States of any kind.
Mr. Essek also tells us he expects to have a mighty uphill battle and asks Kentuckians for help.  He said Mr. McConnell is expected to outspend him $10 million to $1.  Donations to the campaign can be made by mailing a personal check to Daniel Essek, Candidate for US Senate, PO Box 182, Jellico, TN   37762.  His sincere appreciation goes to all.
